RAH
2010
25" high, 17" wide and 15" deep
RAH is composed of 1000+ pieces of kiln produced glass. Each piece was individually produced for the color, contour and dimensions demanded by the position it occupies in the sculpture. Designs on the tail section include the traditional Egyptian image of the scarab beetle embracing the sun, as well as additional representations of the sun on the reverse side of the tail. Rah, or Ra, is the word for the Egyptian god of the sun.
